We attempt to schedule
appointments at your convenience and when
time is available. We prefer to schedule
children under seven years of age and
children with special needs during the
morning hours for their comfort; school-aged
children who require extensive treatment
also do best having morning appointments.
Like physician visits,
dental appointments are an excused absence
from school and we will be happy to provide
your child with an excuse note to take back
to school. Missing school can be kept to a
minimum when regular dental care is
continued.
Appointed times are
reserved exclusively for each patient and we
ask that you please notify our office 24
hours in advance if you need to reschedule
your appointment; we can use the availale
time to treat another patient who needs our
care.
We make every effort to
be an on time office, and as a courtesy to
us and our other patients, we ask that you
arrive on time for your appointments. We
realize that unexpected things can happen
but we ask for your assistance so that we
can provide the same quality experience for
everyone.
We invite you to stay
with your child during the initial
examination. During future appointments we
suggest, however, you allow your child to
accompany our staff through the dental
experience. We can usually establish a
closer rapport with your child when a parent
or guardian is not present. Our purpose in
this practice is to gain your child's
confidence and to minimize your child's
apprehension. If you choose, however, you
may come with your child to the treatment
room. For the safety and privacy of all
patients, other children who are not being
treated should remain in the reception area
with a supervising adult.
